Tropical Wedding in Vero Beach, Florida

Taylor and Edward’s wedding remains one of my favorites to date. They won an Instagram competition I ran for half off a wedding package (not including travel fees) and it was just totally meant to be. These two have so much love in their heart for the Lord and for others, and it showed through in every interaction I had with them. The wedding day itself was a little stormy, but nothing could steal their joy! They enjoyed running around in the rain for portraits, and the sunset that came after the storm passed lit up the entire reception. They had all kinds of personal touches throughout the day, like the Amos brand wine and Famous Amos cookies, to honor the last name they would now share. They even decorated with palms to tie into their Florida upbringing! Some of the most beautiful moments of the day were when Taylor’s bridesmaids all gathered around her for a prayer before the ceremony, and when Taylor got so excited after the ceremony to finally be a married woman that she burst into tears, and was surrounded by her closest friends sharing in her excitement. As they moved into the reception, the party got so lively and fun. Their DJ was one of the bests I’ve ever seen, as a photographer, and got the dance floor packed in a snap with her song choices! The groom even got lifted up onto the shoulders of some groomsmen before the night was over. Overall, it was one of my most treasured weeks of my life. I connected with Taylor so much, with us both being photographers who love the beach and love Jesus. It was also the first trip my now husband and I took together without family, and the taste of what life would be like once we were married and on our own was one of the greatest feelings I’ve ever had. We turned the work trip into a vacay, and explored Daytona Beach and St. Augustine on the way home. It was truly a trip to remember, and I’m honored to have been a part of it all!
