Louisville Wedding at O’Shea’s

Katy & Dylan was a VIBE from start to finish. Katy got ready at the prettiest AirBnB downtown, and shared a sweet first look with her bridal party and mom/MIL on the back porch. Her dress fit her like a glove and was one of the most unique, cool dresses I’ve seen as a photographer!

The guys got ready at Katy & Dylan’s home, but not before absolutely killing their game day entrance photos. Dylan then opened a special card and gift Katy had made for him, and his reaction was so sweet (and worth scrolling to see!). Katy arrived shortly after, and they shared an emotional and beautifully intimate first look in the backyard, and made sure to take some portraits with their fur baby, Kevin.

After their first look, they made their way to the venue, Patrick O’Shea’s Irish Pub, which is located on Baxter Ave, in the midst of all the exciting hustle and bustle of downtown! Their wedding colors were an earthy palette full of muted green and burnt oranges, which coincidentally are also my branding colors, so I was loving every minute!

Their ceremony was equally as emotional and heartfelt as their first look, and I was having a hard time holding back tears with the rest of their guests. After the ceremony, we took family photos in the rooftop garden, and Dylan shared a beautiful private dance with his mother and a few other special women in his family! Then it was time for everyone’s favorite part of the day: bride & groom portraits. The dramatic lighting in this venue is everything I could want!! Katy and Dylan really wanted a balance of sweet and spicy for their bridals and I am heeeeere for it. We started upstairs in the venue before heading down to the whiskey cellar for some flash portraits. By far, one of the coolest spots I’ve taken wedding pictures at!!

Now to get the party started!! K + D shared a choreographed first dance, then shared their own (incredible) twist on a wedding cake: giant cookies with a classic New Girl reference written in icing on top (GAVE ME COOKIE GOT YOU COOKIE)! All that was left was to dance the night away until their confetti exit with all of their loved ones. 10/10 day!!
